Taxi sign image Taxi stands relocated to M.A.C. Avenue in East Lansing!

Effective Tuesday, November 17th, all East Lansing taxis will be required to park for pick up on M.A.C. Avenue, between Albert Avenue and Elizabeth Street.  Previously, taxi stands were located on Albert Avenue.

Using an East Lansing’s registered taxi service?  Remember the following 3 things…

1) That you have a right to know the taxi fare in advance of your ride

2) Drivers cannot refuse to transport an orderly person home upon entrance of the vehicle/agreement of pay.

3) Riders do not have to wait for the taxi to fill up before receiving a ride home.

Seasonal Recycling Site at Patriarche Park.

The City of East Lansing has opened its seasonal recycling drop-off site at Patriarche Park, located on Alton Road between Saginaw Highway and Burcham Drive. This site offers boxboard and corrugated cardboard recycling to residents 24/7 through mid April.

In addition to the temporary drop-off site, the City has two year-round recycling drop-off sites at the Department of Public Works, 1800 E. State Road and East Lansing Public Schools Administration Building, 841 Timberlane St.
